Traffic and Administration
(Innisfail) - Cheryl Mathison

Cheryl has been with the NQ Radio team since 1989 initially starting in reception and traffic for 4KZ.  After 7 years and then some time off for the birth of her first son, she returned to work in the accounts department for the next 14 years during which time she also got married and had 2 more sons.

When 4KZ purchased 4AM, Cheryl returned to her traffic role as that position needed to be filled straight away. Cheryl considers herself as a 'people' person and enjoys talking to regular listeners that have been phoning the station for many years now from places afar as Collinsville, Bowen and Townsville.

In Cheryl's words "I never see answering the phone a chore even after all this time as you never know who you are going to talk to next!" Her hobbies include maintaining acreage – "I love mowing, whipper snipping and gardening.  Basically anything that involves being outdoors... BBQ's, sitting around a fire and a few drinks." My husband and I also have a love and collection of old V8 Fords.  My pride and joy is a 1977 XC.
